PRIVATE OR STATE – THE BIG DIFFERENCE
Unlike most other countries the application process in Germany differs really wether you decide for a state or a private university. In case of state universities you have to apply by the uni-assist platform (we can do this for you too) German state universities always require a proof of your German skills by test results in advance. Generally spoken their prerequisites are more formal depending mostly on grades. Private universities are going to chose their students more carefully by aptitude tests and personal interviews. Their criterias often include also social engagement, motivation or team playing skills. For them you need mostly a certain TOEFL or IELTS score.
